Use caution if you ever do business with OC Data Recovery, Hollywood Data Recovery or San Diego Data Recovery. We left a hard drive for data recovery. They charged $75.00 'to look at it', they said they wanted $1,750.00 to recover the data after looking at it. We needed the data even though we knew we were getting ripped so we agreed. Lindsay Svidergol OC Data Recovery sent over an agreement to sign, we signed and faxed it back. We were told to wait 7 days then call. We waited 7 days and called, Lindsay Svidergol claims she never got out fax, even though it is in our fax log as delivered. Lindsay Svidergol said 'I don't care what your fax log states'. So we asked what do we do know? OC Data Recovery really put us in a terrible spot, Lindsay Svidergol said 'I do think it's best if you take your business elsewhere'!! And kept our $75.00 on top of it! We don't think they ever recover data, they just take peoples $75.00 all day long, some business they run! If you need data recovered and want to deal with the worst company in the data recovery business and subject yourself to terrible customer service from very rude people call OC Data Recovery.

Trust me, DO NOT USE . They are one rip-off of a company. Very unprofessional. I would definitley shop around before you use these guys. These guys are unprofessional and will rip you off. I would suggest finding someone who has is real proffessional company around. I ended up taking my hard drive somewhere else and got much better service. This company SUCKS ! -Henry

ALSO FOR FUTURE REFERENCE THESE SCAM ARTISTS ARE ALSO OC DATA RECOVERY, THEIR WEBSITE IS OCDATARECOVERY.COM AND ABSOLUTE DATA SERVICES OR ABSOLUTEDATASERVICES.COM PLEASE STAY AWAY, READ THE REVIEW THAT IS WRITTEN BELOW YOU WILL GET THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT ALL THE TIME AND THEY WILL CHARGE YOU ATLEAST $2000 FOR YOUR RECOVERY JOB, AND BY THE PROFESSIONALISM SHOWN SO FAR BY THEM THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF STAY AWAY FROM THEM FOR DATA RECOVERY

Stay away from these data recovery scam artists!!! I went to OC Data Recovery with a 400 GB external drive. I paid a $100 deposit. I was told within 24 hours I would receive an email with a quote as to the exact price of the data recovery and a list of the recoverable files. After 4 days and several emails later I finally received word my hard drive could not be 'stabilized' it would need the 'clean room' and a quote of $1900. NINETEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS. The list of recoverable files does not come until after I agree to pay the $1900. For all I know they can recover two JPEGs. I am out $100. I do not feel this company was honest with me. I was trying to recover family photos, nothing more...Those guys will over charge you, stay away from them !!!
