Terrible company, I went to their office in Seattle, only to find out that they do not really do the work there if they require a clean room. Also, they told me they would quote me a couple of hundred dollars, and then that ballooned into a couple of grand. I was desperate and told them to do it, but they told me they would have to send it out to their main location! After about 3 weeks worth of waiting I confronted the employee in their Seattle office, who apparently was fed up with the company and told me that these guys have fake locations all over the country, and that they are really based out of Montana, and that their offices are simple drop off locations where they can't do much. After demanding my drive back he further told me that my drive was at another data recovery company, called Ontrack!? Apparently that is who does all their work, and these guys are just rip off resellers that have only local offices so they can overcharge you to ship the hard drive to Ontrack (about a couple hundred bucks, instead of you calling Ontrack and shipping the drive itself to them which would cost like $20 maximum). Please learn from my mistake, because my drive was too damaged to even recover my data; but it took me close to a thousand dollars that I paid to ADR data recovery who then sent it to Ontrack to find all this out! Ship it to a more honest company that does their own work. Also another one of those data recovery scams that seem to be popping up all over, if you need data recovery in or around the Seattle area, stay the hell away from ADR data recovery or American Data Recovery or any other name they want to call themselves. Oh and by the way it seems that they call themselves datarecovery[insert big city name here].com for example datarecoverylosangeles.com or datarecoveryseattle.com or datarecoveryphoenix.com or datarecoverysanfrancisco.com or any other domain name you could possibly think of that has datarecovery[thenbignamehere] and they claim to have locations in all those cities, although they are honestly all fake.

This company is horrible. Let me start by saying yes my laptop hard drive crashed and I was very worried about the data on there, and realized I needed data recovery, so I googled Data Recovery and came up with ADR Data Recovery as the company that was nearest me. So I brought in my hard drive to their local Virginia Office, which by the way looked like a small jail cell. This should have probably set alarms off in my head, because how can you possibly do data recovery in a room that is 10 feet by 8 feet in size? Anyways, I dropped off my hard drive there and they said they would diagnose it. After about 2 days I got a call that said it would cost about $2700 to perform data recovery on my laptop, which was ridiculous. Desperate to get my data, and they made it seem like they would destroy my laptop drive if I did not agree to this price. So foolishly I agreed, and also agreed to pay them a $500 down payment on my data recovery job. Regardless, after paying them this money they disappeared and I tried to get ahold of them by email and by phone, and heard nothing back from them. This is a small time data recovery outfit trying to act like the big guys. Anyways, after the 4th week I filed a complaint to the BBB and magically got a phone call from my representative. Apparently, without any prior consultation with me they sent my hard drive out to their main data recovery facility in Folsom, CA!? Obviously I brought my hard drive to ADR Data Recovery because I thought that they were a local company, not some turn around data recovery scam based out of California!! Regardless, they were not able to recover my data after about 8 weeks of time being lost, this data recovery company is worthless, and I would suggest staying the hell away from them! They will send your hard drive out to god only knows where to perform the data recovery job, and eventually will waste your time and money, stay away from ADR Data Recovery!!
